Peter J. Eglick Peter Eglick has practiced in Washington since 1979. In recent years, in addition to his other clientele, he and his partners have served as outside counsel for various municipalities including the cities of Auburn, Bothell, Covington, Federal Way, Mercer Island, Olympia, Snohomish and Woodinville. Mr. Eglick was lead counsel for the Airport Communities Coalition composed of the five South King County cities (Burien, Des Moines, Federal Way, Normandy Park and Tukwila) seeking mitigation for the construction of the SeaTac third runway. He has represented clients before numerous local hearing examiners and agencies, the Washington Shorelines Hearings Board, the Growth Management Hearings Boards, trial and appellate courts throughout the state, as well as the Washington Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has litigated matters under the Growth Management Act since its inception, starting with Robison v. Bainbridge Island (in which he represented the Bainbridge Island School District as well as the South Bainbridge Island Community Association) and the West Seattle Defense Fund series of cases before the Central Board and through recent successful defense, with partner Jane Kiker, of the City of Bothell’s revised GMA Comprehensive Plan.

Mr. Eglick has been designated annually by his peers as a Washington Law and Politics “Super Lawyer,” received Martindale Hubbell’s peer review rating of “AV Preeminent™” and was listed in the July 2010 Seattle Met magazine as one of Seattle’s Top Lawyers of 2010.

He is also a frequent invited lecturer/author on land use matters at Continuing Legal Education seminars for lawyers and other professionals in the field. These lectures and publications have addressed topical questions in land use and environmental law as well as ethical issues which confront practitioners.
